We Have Made It! Not changed a tyre once! Just off to find Dave's place and have a well earned beer! The Mongolian countryside is truely beautiful!

Only 210km to the border at Kyakhta and so if the road remains intact then we may even make the border this evening and maybe if our luck's in a hotel as well rather than a tent, A rations and mosquitoes!

Lake Baikal was beautiful. The roads were dodgy in places but when we hit a good road Graham practically flew along it! My back knows it! Heading towards border and will camp tonight probably.

Long drive today! Lots of very unmade roads - thank god for the sump guard! Just paying taxicab to find us a hotel! Not far to Mongolia now! Hopefully get to the border tom evening

Exhaust now fixed and it sounds quieter than before it broke! Novosibirsk is full of exhaust fumes so we've decided to make our way out towards Kemerovo and head towards Lake Baikal.

Only a 2hr drive today! Knew that the exhaust box was coming away so wiped it up yesterday which was lucky coz it fell apart this morning! Absolutely deafened! Trying to find a hotel and a welder!

Left the mountains and have bought our first map of Russia to help up bypass Khazakstan. Once we get round the ring road we'll be heading towards Kurgen then Isim then Omsk! Probably not all today tho'!

Just made it! We were stuck in al least a 2 mile moving queue of traffic which miraculously disappeared when we found a newly laid fuel carriage way! Going towards Cel'abinsk trying to find a hotel.

In Volgograd. Arrived last night after a long drive from Odessa lasting about 36 hrs! Finally found a hotel and food and so had a home nights sleep. Got a few jobs to do today and need a map !
