Just thanking the locals for fixing our gearbox before the days drive. Everyone is so very friendly out here. We were asked twice too pull over just so they could get a self ie with us and Betsy.
And I do also get a lot of locals eyeing up my leg sleeve. Don't think they've seen so much ink.
Of to Vadodara tomorrow with full tank of fuel, fixed gear box and smiley faces. What could possibly go wrong!
So here is where our Rickshaw, Betsy, has been living for the past week. But as of tomorrow we go out on the road. So far we have just been bringing Betsy to life through refurbishment and accessories, whilst also taking the old girl out and about in town. Learning the roads, meeting the local people and sampling the chaotic traffic. Now the adventure truly begins and now I have sorted my phone out I can update this With more pictures. Hope you do follow this and enjoy our journey with us.
Hi all
I'm waking up to our second day in Jaisalmer with a phone that now works so I'm much happier.
But what great day yesterday. We met our Rickshaw who we named Betsy and after a brief lesson was free to take her out into town.
The roads are crazy but as my family can confirm I'm not shy on the roads so it's very comfortable for me.
Enjoying life so far in India and will keep you updated as and when I can.
Graham
Just packing now and nerves are kicking. 24th journey before I meet an old friend, catch up, than face the roads of India. ARE WE NUTS!!!!
Jack and I are gearing up and preparing for our adventure. Strangely, anecdotes have already starting to accumulate.
Went to GP to organise my shots. He went through a possible list of what I might need but then came out with 'Well you could strike the last two off if you like, just don't go shagging any foreign prostitutes ha ha ha".
IM SORRY. WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY....
Dumb struck.
