We got our second POI today, which is officially called POI 38 - Zelengora Pass. It is in Bosnia & Herzegovina, up a mountain and on a dirt road that is in terrible condition. Our oil was leaking, our engine was overheating and our brakes were squeaking. But the views were great! We had some genuine moments of apprehension but we got there and back in what was a great day.

Had a great day today. After noticing our massive oil leak at the end of yesterday we had a moment where we thought we’d have to spend more time and money at a mechanic, both commodities we’re running low on. So we thought it out - the car is still running. It’s burning/leaking oil very fast (about 1.5L in 600km yesterday), but as long as the engine has oil, in theory it will keep working, in the short term. We just need 10 more days of it working, so we’re gonna keep topping up the oil, keep checking the coolant and not overworking it too much. Today we decided to avoid highways completely. That took us to rural village towns of Bavaria which was amazing to be honest. We stopped once and had already lost one quarter of our entire oil, so we topped it up and kept going. It doesn’t like hills and at times we’re surrounded by trucks, or Audis doing 130km/hr so it gets a bit exciting. But the views have been unreal - chaos with a view.
