MADE IT TO MONGOLIA! But car has had it! Broken 3 suspention springs,steering is making banging noises, brakes almost non existant! Decided to leave it here and head onwards by other means! Dont want to be stranded in the wilderness with a snapped axle!

finally back on track after massive detour! Heading for khorog at start of parmirs. Car has been pushed way past it's limits on broken bridges, boulders, and through oncoming rivers. Road too rocky to type more!

We made it to turkmenistan! Good feeling about this place! Heading for a night of comfort in a 5 star, 25 dollar a night hotel in the capital! Few other teams here already so should be good fun and we are back in convoy! :-)

just got stopped and questioned by a guy claiming to be cia! Seemed dodgie! Was askin how much cash we had and just too many questions! Iranian Cia? Really? Setting off along the Caspian coast for turkmen border and getting out of iran asap!

we made it to iran. Border was a nightmare when our passports were held to ransom! Got them back tho despite some covert threats on our safety! In convoy with 7 teams so all should be good! Heading for the coast and probably drive in shifts thru the night to reach boarder at first light! Nicks phone is dead here too but mine seems ok! @
