sorry it's been a few days since our last blog. On Saturday I sadly found out that a rally friend was tragically kill and 2 others injured in a car crash on Friday. We had only met a handful of times but we got on really well. Its hard to believe what's happened and to 1 of the nicest guys you could ever meet. RIP my friend.

last nights borders were interesting, had the can search leaving Moldova and then again 10 feet forwards to enter Ukraine. Only to enter Ukraine during the day they take about 4 hours to search everything but at dark o'clock the guards offer a quick search 20eu and a present haha. Or not so quick which I was wanting to know about. woke up this morning in an abandoned gas station to find that a new team had joined us. @

turns out that this border is firstly the border for leaving Moldova and literally 10 feet in front is the Ukraine entry border. The van has just been searched and a word of warning to you, never keep things in your vehicle that go bang, knifes for cooking, disco balls, kids party blowy things, water guns, women's perfume? (Not sure where that 1 came from) basically don't take a van full of junk over the border

just noticed the time : ( its 12 am local time and I've heard that this border takes 4/5 hours. Also as we've just paid our Moldova green card and most paid Moldova road tax [I didn't need to pay tax..... think the hot border guard fancyed me :-) ] anyhoo as we're 600 meters down the road we need to pay the Ukraine tax and insurance as well as get eatin by all sorts if flying things and being hounded by more stray dogs.
