a 5am start to leave the Himalaya behind us and we headed back to the Indian border. We were greatly spurred on by the Indian passport control officer's excitement at seeing Rickshaws come through his boarder driven by westerners for the 1st time ever. Crossing the infamously poor and corrupt state of Bihar was our goal for the day but the semi-built national highway, the Indian monsoon rains and the more and more unreliable tuk tuks did their best to scupper us.
