Finally in Mongolia with 1k+ miles to go and broken handbrake, shagged power steering, severely worn footbrake that only works half the time, fuel leak, hot exhaust blowing onto fuel leak, 3 collapsed springs, busted air con and broken radio. On the plus side, the rebuilt engine is still peachy :)

Almost in Mongolia! We followed signs for 400 miles today to reasonably major border town Tashanta. Having arrived, it's about 50 huts on a plateau with a patch of grass Russian squaddies play football on. And it has some psycho children, very eerie. We've decided to camp 3km out of town and take our chances with the wolves instead.@
