U-TURN!

After a mammoth day of driving, having left at 9am from the lovely Milly's in Paris (a massive thank you for letting us crash at yours) we arrived in Munich at 11 o'clock after a full 14 hours on the road!

We are staying in the Palace Hostel which Will and myself used on our Eurotrip a couple of years back, and having bowled up without a reservation we were fortunate to be given a room!

The journey thus far has already been incredibly eventful, with both Will and Tom having already been caught speeding (don't worry mums all is well!) We also stopped in the bizarre Turkish area of Strasbourg where we picked up some delightful takeway pizzas and a not so delightful kebab for william! Tom ensured he experienced the local delicacies with his "Quatro Fromaggio".

Our first ever experience of driving on the "Autobahn" got off to an appalling start when Tom and Will decided to take the "scenic route" where we ended up on the top of a mountain with no idea where we were. However after a few minutes of map reading we realised we were in the infamous "bad Uraq" which more than lived up to its name... although we did see a deer.

Tom was kept amused by the recurring signage of "Aushfarts" which we soon learnt meant exit causing us to partake in one of our many Uturns at dubious road locations. In fact the team yelling "U-Turn" became a common occurence with Will "navigating".

At approximately 8 pm we gave up temporarily on any hope of reaching Munich, so decided to find a place to camp, however after driving up a near vertical slope, stopping and slipping backwards along the gravel track our fleeting fancy of a night under the stars was avada kadavred. And so we headed to Munich.

Finally Mim and myself have decided on our team song, much to Will and Tom (mainly Tom's) dismay... The Wanted - Glad You Came.
