, Altai Mountains

drove 350km today on some of the worlds worst roads...used 12 hours so the average speed wasnt high. Now camping in the mountains in traditional gers. Fitted 10 people in one. Met lots of other Rallyers on the roads who had lots of problems with engines, tyres, susspension etc. Had 3 flat tires throuout the day but had spares on the roof rack so diddent lose to muchtime on that...hoping getting to Ulaanbaataar on thursday...

Tsagaan-Üür, Mongolia

made the Mongolian border last night but sadly there is 30 rally cars camped up at the border station. Met other rallyers that had spent 48 hours here. The reason its slow is money transfers between the adventurists and the Mongolian autorities. Bought beer and someone orderd å hole goat for 130US dollars. Goat testicles isnt to bad actually. Woke up to rain and 4 degrees, once more i have failed packing down the right gear...

got stopped by the police last night getting a fin of 8000 tenge, but we only had 5000 and that was ok. Just give me what you have:) Tried to find a camp spot for the night but even then å cop came along telling us there was unsafe, im not sure the reason but we have entered bear country and with only 100km to the Russian border its also Bandit country. In 1 hour we will be in Russia...

crossed the border after a massiv breakfast. Now in Almaty. Planning on driving north against Astana as much as we can today. Bought a neck brace at the farmacy to support my neck after the impact. The function is to sided with helping the neck and makes it easier to sleep while sitting in the back taking naps. Havent seen Borat yet...
