WE MADE IT!! 57th place. woke to nepali storm. Went on elephant safari this morn & saw rhino. j had swim/bath with ele. 4830km and we're done!

Royal Chitwan NP - Visited elephant breeding centre & fed babies. Gave local kids joy ride in rickshaw. Stayin at hotel on river edge. Very relaxd place

Lahan - like nepal. Drove into night and found good hotel with good food on road side. Happy campers!

kakarbhitta - fog cleared in darjeeling this morn so had first glimpse of himalayas. Just crossed border and now in nepal. 46th to cross!

darjeeling. Splashin out on a nite at the elgin - like steppin back 2 colonial times. Thick cloud so no view. Early fog made driving difficult.

about 120km south of Darjeeling. Hole of a town with no food to speak of. Room cost £1.30 and it shows.
