Mark BOSWELL

Leg 1 - Getting There!

AJ, Jonny and I flew out from Sydney bound for the Gold Coast. Arriving on schedule we promptly found our hostel and to our suprise it was a good one. We were greeted with a private room with balcony overlooking Greenmount beach (Nice work Boz for finding it). After winning on the pokies at the local during a long, long lunch (a few beers consumed) we hit Hog's Breath for (what could be) our last steak for several weeks. More beers consumed.

a groggy 6am start to hit the airport, flying out to KL, Malaysia! Jonny did well casue it only cost us $200... and you get what you pay for. I will skip all the complaints from AJ and Boz and just say we made it in tact and ready to take on KL. What a strange city KL is!? Its a melting pot of people, culture and rules, at times chaotic but mostly just wierd...in a good way.

On the first night we hit the Sky Bar which is 30something floors up and overlooks the twin towers...SUCH AN AMAZING VIEW! we were kings sipping on our beers and chowing down food in that place. And then we went out...eye opening to say the least and given the audience, probably all im going to say. Lets just say Jonny could have had any girl (and probably some dudes) in the place.

Fly out early tomorrow for Kolkutta, India. Bring on the Rickshaw Run.

 AJ, Jonny & Boz.
