Made it to the next town but our alternator belt broke about 5 miles out. hopefully find one soon and be on our way again.

, Altai Mountains

made it to Altai for lunch and are going to try for 200kms or so this afternoon. Hopefully in UB the afternoon of the 14th.

Khovd, Mongolia

Made it to Khovd after a 13 hour emotional roller coaster. Car is no longer running and we're hoping we'll be reunited with it tomorrow.

Bayan Olgii, Mongolia

mileage is at 119,300 so almost 8,000 miles now. We've got 215km to the next town so we'll see if we can make it in a day.

Khövsgöl, Mongolia

We made it to Mongolia! Although only just. We pulled up to the gate at 6 which is when the border closed. They took our passports and have told us to camp in the parking lot and they'll deal with us in the morning!

Tashanta, Russia

made it to the border and it's taken us almost two hours just to get out of Russia. Not quite there yet, but I think we're close.

Gorno-Altaysk, Russia

Mileage at 118,882, so about 7,500 miles so far. Drive through the Altai mountains this morning so will see if we can make the border.

Skirted Barnaul and are now heading SE for the Mongolian border.
