just came back from the mechanic and our engine works again!! yeah!!! However. Our oil pump does not. No oil is coming up to lubricate the engine. The guy dismantled it, found the bit of melted dipstick entangled in there- nice. We have to go back tmw to see if it's working... Ayoh!!!

in a small town south of Chincheros. Broke down completely last night and had to get PeruVan Guilty (Ben and Clare) to tow us. Luckily there was a hostel and a small shop!!! What a blessing! Such a friendly town too, as soon as we arrived this little girl came to give us a mango :)

set off nice and early to tackle one, possibly two mountain passes! Our oil dipstick has melted into our tank though, shouldn't be a problem, right??

after a long, hard day's driving, we are back in the same town! Free wheeled it down the mountain as the bike decided to die half way up. Grrrrr. Did meet some funny mechanics at the bottom. Very helpful!
