The story so far:

An ex-army civil servant sought a new challenge; the kind few men can claim to have embarked on (and use as a genuine pick-up line in a bar). The Mongol Rally was too well known, too safe, too predictable for his liking. But fortune had it that a new adventure was still relatively unknown...the Mototaxi Junket.

Having signed himself up, all he needed now was to convince two similarly-minded individuals to join the team. Another civil servant, his uni mate and numerous beers later, “The Peruvian Connection: tears, tyres and tweed†was created.

To date we still have an extremely long list of essential items to purchase before departure including “tweed jacket, Union Jack, emergency food packs and Spanish phrase bookâ€. Being hardened travellers, we have however studied the Lonely Planet & Rough Guide to Peru in some depth.
