Bucharest - So Who Forgot The V5 Vehicle Registration!!!!!

 

After an amazing first week travelling in our convoy of three cars including team AX's of Evil, and team Vikings and travelling through 8 countries and reaching the end of Europe and the beginning of the Molodvan border we hit our very first snag.

Hmmmmwer somehow we forgot our V5 vehicle registration document meaning we had our passports and were allowed entry into the country but fifi was not...... Not wanting to fnish the rally on foot a radical plan was formulated.

Due to the time constraints placed upon certain members of the convoy the teams were altered with half of team AX's of evil joining team Matt's and Dave to form the legendary team MOJOWEN!!!! (as known by UniS students). With the teams split and Joe's parents out of the UK and the V5 in his house and Joe not having a phone we decided to spend the night at the border waiting for the UK to wake up before Joe phoned round anyone whose number he knew.

Many phone calls later and a scoldin from Joe's mother, our knight in shining armour, Steve 'the pirate' 'Sven' Boulton, came to the rescue and broke into Joe's house, recovered the V5 and promptly posted the form to the Bucharest DHL office telling us that it might arrive with us wednesday of next week, 5 days later. We could have maybe got the form quicker but it would have cost GBP 1300.

As we said nevermind we always fancied a holiday in bucharest and therefore began our tactial retreat to Buchraest whilst we waited for a piece of paper...

In Bucharest the driving was described as Indian drivers on crack, hence life expectancy is measured in minutes, but never fear Joe's inner (as most people know is his outer) white van man instincts and took on the might of the Romanians DACIA's at their own game...

GREAT NEWS THE DACIA SANDERO IS AVAILABLE IN ROMANIA WOOP !!!!!

With Owen "I can navigate anywhere by the sun" we were able to point the car in direction of the best western hotel where a well deserved rest and recharge was required and where we managed to score the best deal on accomodation in Bucharest FACT! Better than half price with breakfast.

Thanks to the Best Western Parc Hotel Bucharest for their hospitality.

Currently we are living it up in our swanky hotel and passing the time with Matt and Joe kicking owens ass at UNO and calculating the largest discount we can get at a titty bar...

Therefore if you had not worked it out sooner the current team matt's and dave now consists of a single matt (Matt Walker) and no Dave (now Joe Sadler and Owen Sogeler).

We shall resume once DHL have had chance to catch us u with our piece of paper must go now can see ts happy hour and their our belly dancers woop!
