we're back in the UK. we just got off the plane at heathrow and we're waiting for a coach up to the midlands.

we're here! We arrived in ub on monday at 8pm. 17 days of travelling and we're ready for some beer at Dave's and a long lye in tomorrow :-D

we've been waiting to enter mongolia for 5 hours now and no sign of movement. We're hungry and they are just having their lunch which smells gorgeous :-(

it's 10 o'clock at night and we've just arrived at the border with Mongolia which opens at 9am. 11 hours to go.

just passed through Ulan-Ude and we're racing on to the Mongol border

we're just 400 miles from the Mongolian border. The car is still running but we're getting tired now. Looking forward to a cold beer in UB :-D

We're in the town of Kresnersk about 3 days from Mongolia. Staying in the best hotel tonight for 70 pounds because we're worth it :-D

this town is a nightmare to navigate. We're heading north to Tomsk to hopefully get a room for the night, them east again :-)

It took 5 hours to get out of Kazakhstan and back into Russia, but it's worth it to be back in this lovely country of good roads and lovely people :-)

not getting a car transit document at the border, cost 3 hours and £100 at a police check point. better than the 5 months in jail they were offering.
