400k to go now! Ambulance now sporting a deeply dusty interior! Holdìng up well despite the roads we are throwing at her! Crossed a river or two yesterday! Discovered doors arent watertight! Continuing the fruitless search for black gold! No not oil.....tarmac! Me and cheffry are dying for a fry up! Clothes now supporting their own ecosystems!@

It took us and a few other teams a day at the border, but we are elated to announce that we have made it to Mongolia! Its the most starkly beautiful place we have seen! We will have to let the pictures tell the story when we get back! We now face 5 days of grueling, dusty, car destroying roads to UB, but we dont care! This is the final push! Wish us luck!

Been stuck here since Friday trying to get exit visas. Our west country comrades The Sign Up Team are here with us. We have all had a substantial weight lifted from our wallets thanks to red tape and paperwork! Spent the whole sweaty day waiting to get visa and now we are told we wait until tomorrow! Oh and we were thrown out of the immigration office earlier for sitting on the floor!@

The ringleader of this team is Chris Gunn, a chef by trade who works at the Pound Inn, Coxley. His partner in crime is Chris Legat a carpenter who also resides in Coxley, (not forgetting the mascot, "Dave" the funky shoulder monkey!).

Notice if you will, the distinct lack of qualities that may help in this rally. A vehicle could have been chosen that was easy to drive, with great fuel consumption and off road tyres, but thats not really the spirit of the Mongol Rally. Instead it was decided that a vehicle which would benefit the people of Mongolia more, would be a better option.

St Johns Ambulance very kindly donated an ambulance which will take on the role of "trusty steed". With a little tinkering , and a lot of luck the "Ciderdelic Ambiance" will carry these brave lads, the 10,000 or so miles to UlanBataar, Mongolia!
