12:45 lunchtime today crossed the finish line. Made it! Set off this morning with leaking engine oil again even though we just had the seal replaced. Nursed and coerced her across the line. 27th out of 67... we are surprised. What an adventure. This is Team Like a G6 signing off from India. Stories to tell, pictures to come. Thanks to those who have been following us. xx

made it to Guruvayoor in Kerala... Just. Couple breakdowns. Last one 8km from here. All meant to be though. While driving along got invited to tea at someones house.... Half the village turned up and it was chaos. Gave away rest of our coloured pencils and bubbles to the kids and also our blankets that have kept us warm for two weeks. Then got held up in a procession from temple, elephants and all. Amazing.

sloooooww day. Set up after quick swim in the Arabian Sea at dawn. Couldn't start Arthur/ Martha. No engine oil... again. Filled up, didn't get far. Got mechanic at some place on side of road. Said 4 hours to fix... Got another Rick to Bekal Fort to get a room somewheres. Struck lucky near beautiful Bekal beach with the old fort in the background. The prayers are ringing around us from the mosque. Sitting in room trying to choose between a good bottle of wine now or have tmrw. Decided to live for today.

Maharashtra, India

next stop Kolhapur. Quick spa treatment needed as told women need to be home by 6pm! Long day. Few probs on way... those darn sparkplugs. Took a while to get out of Pune. Saw a mini Effiel Tower sitting on Colgate boxes (?). Saw a nervous groom on horse going to ceremony. Stopped by police.. Who are we, what are we, do we have licence to drive rickshaw, visa for india??? Some dicky tummies this morning... Peter couldn't access loo quick enough as someone in there, then couldn't face the loo at all. Nearly broke down in tunnel. Had some kisses blown our way and saw some beautifully orange painted horns on some cows.. Flowers and bells too. Goa tmrw hopefully.

Maharashtra, India

first time to have made our destination... Nashik. Woop! 240km since 6am this morning. Now 7pm. She ran like a dream today. Over and up mountains. Saw the amazing Satmala Hills. A cross between Egypt and Rocky Mountains. Off to Sula Vineyard for our first wine since Delhi. Cannot wait... Can taste it already
