12:45 lunchtime today crossed the finish line. Made it! Set off this morning with leaking engine oil again even though we just had the seal replaced. Nursed and coerced her across the line. 27th out of 67... we are surprised. What an adventure. This is Team Like a G6 signing off from India. Stories to tell, pictures to come. Thanks to those who have been following us. xx

made it to Guruvayoor in Kerala... Just. Couple breakdowns. Last one 8km from here. All meant to be though. While driving along got invited to tea at someones house.... Half the village turned up and it was chaos. Gave away rest of our coloured pencils and bubbles to the kids and also our blankets that have kept us warm for two weeks. Then got held up in a procession from temple, elephants and all. Amazing.

sloooooww day. Set up after quick swim in the Arabian Sea at dawn. Couldn't start Arthur/ Martha. No engine oil... again. Filled up, didn't get far. Got mechanic at some place on side of road. Said 4 hours to fix... Got another Rick to Bekal Fort to get a room somewheres. Struck lucky near beautiful Bekal beach with the old fort in the background. The prayers are ringing around us from the mosque. Sitting in room trying to choose between a good bottle of wine now or have tmrw. Decided to live for today.
Karnataka, India
did 300km to a little beachside place called Bryndoor. Broke down again... No engine oil so also screwed clutch plates which also prob screws our sparkplugs. Another lovely mechanic experience. Staying on the beach in some tent hotel.. A wellness resort we found out, so no drinking allowed.@
, Anjuna Beach, Goa
made it to Goa. Long day of driving. 200 long kms through beautiful mountains and lakes from Kolhapur to silly bumpy roads in Goa. Police tried to bribe us for 800 rupee for a 'pollution permit' on the state border... We quickly drove away. Anjuna for night.. Day off from driving tmrw. Yay!
Maharashtra, India
next stop Kolhapur. Quick spa treatment needed as told women need to be home by 6pm! Long day. Few probs on way... those darn sparkplugs. Took a while to get out of Pune. Saw a mini Effiel Tower sitting on Colgate boxes (?). Saw a nervous groom on horse going to ceremony. Stopped by police.. Who are we, what are we, do we have licence to drive rickshaw, visa for india??? Some dicky tummies this morning... Peter couldn't access loo quick enough as someone in there, then couldn't face the loo at all. Nearly broke down in tunnel. Had some kisses blown our way and saw some beautifully orange painted horns on some cows.. Flowers and bells too. Goa tmrw hopefully.

made it to Pune. Went hour in wrong direction this morning. Eventually on right road. Road not so interesting today. Took part in a Sai Baba march for few minutes. Staying in a kitsch israeli ladies guesthouse. Half way today... Very tired

first time to have made our destination... Nashik. Woop! 240km since 6am this morning. Now 7pm. She ran like a dream today. Over and up mountains. Saw the amazing Satmala Hills. A cross between Egypt and Rocky Mountains. Off to Sula Vineyard for our first wine since Delhi. Cannot wait... Can taste it already
Gujarat, India
near Navsari in some dodgeville place called something like Khamrej. In a truckstop hotel called pacific inn... Soooo not. Sparkplug issues... But have now swapping Chinese ones for German ones as a tip from yet another mechanic. Early burly start to try and get to Nashik wine region + spa.

end of a long day. 3 little breakdowns... Last one in the dark on edge of our destination. Have seen the loveliness of the people today. So unbelievably kind and helpful. Time for sleep.
