Chose to go straight south at the last minute. 155kms in 4 hours for the first day with no major hiccups. Lots of rocks, shrubbery, sand, a few camels and a couple of peacocks along the way. Now staying in a very plain hotel room containing someone else's shirts, trousers and underpants.
