Car died yesterday had to have it towed to the next town 100km away to be fixed. Arrived just now and it's a fuel pump issue as we first thought, seems to be getting fixed but not hopeful for the mechanics well being as he thinks smoking over the fuel tank full of fuel is a good idea! A@
Bayanhongor, Mongolia
Camped at the top of a valley last night and we had the biggest storm I've ever seen right above us, we had to evacuate to our cars! Lying in a tent which is the tallest thing for miles and miles in a lightning storm is not a good idea! River crossing now after all this water will be interesting! A

Bayanhongor, Mongolia
Our long run of no car problems has come to an end. Driving through hundreds of puddles and rivers has caused the engine to cut out and power lost, it is intermittent but were changing the spark plugs and will go from there, engine management and battery lights are flashing like no tomorrow. A
Altay, China
Got to Altay yesterday after two cars in our convoy having 3 punctures, clutch issues and broken suspension arms, all made it to the Garage and all cars are like new! Had the best dumplings ever and camped just outside the city. Today we're tackling more relentless roads on the way to Bayanhongor. A
Altay, China
