Met up with some other rickshaw rally'ers and turns out an extremist group have shut down the state tomorrow due to the president visiting. Gonna get out of dodge early (and with a police escort some of the way). Should be fine except no petrol stations will be open - full tank and jerry can though.@

Almost ended up in Darjeeling today by missing a turning, but then did find ourselves in a tiger reserve accidentally - didn't see any tigers, but fears we'd crossed the border into Bhutan made us turn back. Horrendous roads at the moment and the tuk is taking a beating. Reached a lovely hotel for the night, sharing with cockroaches (not talking about the Idiots team).@

The two surviving tuks from the convoy of five powered on this afternoon and clocked up a good 250km. Now checked in to another sh*t hole for the night. Time for a curry and bottle of frosters (their spelling not mine). Gary

another tuk has died. Has to pick it up and put it on a truck. Just me and the idiots still running. Talk of abandoning and just heading to the finish, but decided we are gonna go for it and cross the finish line. No translator or mechanic, but plenty of stupidity. Gary
