Team The First Class Travellers

Khovd, Mongolia

A long day yesterday, and not a lot of ground covered left us deflated. Today we made the hard decision to break the convoy and press on alone. We struck out in to the wilderness foot to the floor and made 135 miles. The 'roads' here are brutal, drive too slow and they shake the car to bits, too fast and we could end up totalling the car on a camel! Stressful stuff, but that's what the G&T is for. Spiffing!

Khovd, Mongolia

we're really on the rally now, yesterday we towed one guy back to olgi, then towed are we there yet all the way to khovd after they put a hole in their sump. Two river crossings, loads of camels, luke and i held an eagle, and another night camping in the desert. Plus we've decided to suit up for the whole of mongolia. So we're looking sharp.

Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan

We spent last night camped next to a giant field of Marijuana, we left sharply this morning upon realising we had stumbled in to a Kazakh drugs plantation. Luckily there didnt seem to be any 'farmers' around. The car is overheating again, the words "head gasket" have been thrown around. Sadly it's probably the case... but we limp on.

Almaty, Kazakhstan

Another six hours in the mechanic and we have new brake pads, repaired our shot wheels, solved our over-heating issues. Aggy is back on the road and topped off with high octane Kazakh petrol. We head north for Russia with "Are we there yet" and "Reckless abandon". We also Picked up some Neil Young CDs in a kazakh record store! Let the good times roll! Onwards to Mother Russia, Spiffing!

Shymkent, Kazakhstan

goodbye uzbekistan, hello kazakhstan, again. What a day yesterday was, overheating car, border closures, and i nearly got deported for a problem with my visa. Luckily the border guard was a gent about it, and we are on our way again. Highly stressful. Did i mention we're doing this for charity? Follow the link to donate!
