Eventually arrived (in style) on Sun to a vodka fueled reception. Dennis is now sat resplendintly on the finish line. Although we have just been asked to move her as with her current diesel leak she is ironically a fire hazard. @

After 36h and a $20 fine for getting drunk we have finally entered Mongolia. Many thanks to Ramon for rebuilding our starter motor.

Were doing so well at the Russia border until they decided to get an 'MOT bloke' to check Lara for roadworthiness. The new decking and three piece suite appeared to be acceptable however the fact that out of all our lights only our right headlight now works was met with an insistance that we would have to return to Kazakhstan. We eventually crossed on the understanding we'd get it fixed at the first garage in Russia. Now heading East to the M ** some text is missing **

Having lost the rear suspension and with the prop shaft in jeopardy we have had to make a few minor alterations. Fingers crossed the Russians will like our 'Fire Engine Coupe.'

After losing the suspension we have been forced to remove a wheel arch with an axe and repair our fuel tank with a ratchet strap. Despite her own difficulties Lara faithfully took a sex starved Buddhist in tow for 40km.

Now on the road South to Aral. The Kazakhs seem to love Dennis, so much so in fact that we have already been stopped 3 times by the police. They have no interest in seeing any paperwork and instead prefer to do a lot of stroking and laughing before letting us go on our way!
